Top 3 Coolest Cyberpunk 2077 Easter Eggs
There are a lot of Cyberpunk 2077 easter eggs scattered all around Night City. Everyone loves an easter egg in their favorite game now and then. These easter eggs provide a much-needed lift to the otherwise dark tone of the game.
Some of the easter eggs you can find are Cyberpunk secrets, but some are odes or references to other popular games and other CD Projekt Red titles. However, some are more obvious than others, and thus many players might have missed out on these priceless Easter eggs in their playthroughs.
In this article, we will list down the Top 3 coolest easter eggs you can find in Cyberpunk 2077.
The Witcher 3
Cyberpunk 2077 Witcher 3 Easter Eggs are not in short supply. There are plenty of arcade machines throughout Night City, all with different game titles. One of these names is Roach Race, which is like a horse auto-scroller. Roach was the name of Geralt’s horse in The Witcher 3.
If you played The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt through to completion, you will remember the pain of hunting down Smuggler’s Caches in Skellige. Three barrels can be seen floating on the surface of the ocean with mesmerizing loot within.
If you head to the bridge connecting Heywood to Pacifica, you can find another one in the water. It does not have any legendary loot, but there is a shard on a nearby guy who unfortunately drowned while hunting for the final Smuggler’s Cache. We all know the struggle a little too well.
GTA: San Andreas in Cyberpunk 2077
Those who played the famous GTA: San Andreas will be familiar with the names CJ and Big Smoke. However, in Night City, their names are replaced with JC and Little Smoke instead. To find the GTA: San Andreas Easter egg, you must travel to the Badlands and enter the Trailer Park in Red Peaks.
Near the entrance of the train tunnel lay two dead bodies which resemble CJ and Big Smoke. Little Smoke’s body contains a data shard, detailing a conversation with JC. The conversation ends with, “All you had to do was follow the train, JC,” a not-so-subtle reference to the infamous train mission in GTA: San Andreas.
Skippy Sings Rihanna’s Disturbia
One of Cyberpunk 2077’s most hilarious secrets is Skippy, a Smart Weapon that can speak to the player. Apparently, according to this funny easter egg, he can sing his heart out too. In this easter egg, following a short introduction to V, Skippy will run a system diagnostics check to ensure full functionality.
Showcasing an odd feature, he begins to hum the tune to the pop hit “Disturbia” by Rihanna. The Smart Weapon pistol soon reveals that the purpose of the so-called “soothing melody” is to alleviate the weight of the diagnostics check, although V doesn’t seem to share his sentiment. For this moment alone, it’s worth finding Skippy in Cyberpunk 2077.
