Who Are the Two Unpicked Valorant Agents?
Since the group stage began, only Reyna and Deadlock have not seen any screen time. Although Riot Games encourages players to make use of their incredible composition building, teams just didn’t want to use these agents. However, there is a good reason why no one picked them.
Out of the two Valorant agents, not picking Reyna is more understandable. After all, she is difficult to manage if you’re not using a hyper-push composition. However, we did want to see how professional teams utilize Deadlock, the latest addition to the roster.
Although Valorant coaches expressed their opinion about her, we hoped she might at least see one match. According to them, she simply just doesn’t fit with the current meta. Yet, we did see Chamber in certain maps as an off-meta pick. It is also understandable why no one would risk a loss for a new, reactive agent, specializing in improvisation.
The two Valorant agents had a below 0% appearance in the group stage. Meanwhile, meta picks like Killjoy, Jett, Raze, Skye, and Viper reached over 50% pick rates. After all, it is the Utility Meta, where each agent’s utility increases your odds of success. At this moment, there is nothing in Reyna’s kit that could help, while Deadlock has no value as a Sentinel.
