Paper Rex signs ex-NAOS Esports player as sixth man
Paper Rex, one of the top Valorant teams in the Asia-Pacific region, has officially signed Patrick “PatMen” Mendoza as its sixth man for VCT Pacific Stage 1.
The Filipino pro player previously competed with ZOL Esports, winning the Predator League Philippines, before moving to NAOS Esports earlier this year.
With NAOS, he secured a joint fifth-sixth finish in Valorant Challengers SEA Split 1, placing alongside his former team, ZOL Esports.
According to Paper Rex chief gaming officer Harley “dsn” Örwall, Mendoza’s addition will bring new perspectives and expanded strategies to the roster.
He will join the team in Seoul once his travel documents are finalized. His signing makes him the ninth Filipino competing in VCT Pacific, joining several countrymen across different teams.
Despite missing Masters Bangkok, Paper Rex aims to reclaim dominance in VCT Pacific, having previously won the league twice.
