Have you ever encountered a player using the left-handed mode feature in Valorant? Riot Games allows players to choose their orientation, but it’s pretty rare to meet a left-handed player. Yet, it did spark some curiosity in me. After all, it is a conscious decision to use the feature. So, what benefits does this mode bring to your overall gameplay experience?

What is the Left-Handed Mode in Valorant?

Out of every player I’ve met using the feature, none of them have a consistent answer. Some say that it helps improve your aim, even for a slight millisecond. Others say that it’s due to their preference since they are left-handed in real life. Yet, it continues to confuse me to no end.

Valorant enables players to customize everything, from crosshairs to map sizes. However, the left-handed mode is something a bit different because it can alter your experience. If you use right-handed mode, you have nothing blocking your lower left corner. Yet, if you use the opposite, you can now see the entire lower right corner of your screen.

This could mean that choosing this orientation could benefit right-handed players too. Simply put, using the gun placement can benefit your aim. It all has something to do with your eyes. However, we’re not saying that you shouldn’t take comfort, brain cognition, and other stuff into account.

If you think about it, your weapon placement might be too distracting for your eyes. Players call it the left-eye and right-eye dominance theory. If you have a dominant right eye, the gun model is awkward for you. This is the reason why you should switch over to using left-handed mode in Valorant.

Personally, it could all just be a placebo with no real benefits. However, I do feel more comfortable with the right-hand mode because I’ve had issues with my left eye. Switching it over to the opposite side feels too weird and discomforting.

So, what do you think? Is it all a placebo effect with no real benefits? Or have you experienced playing with the left-handed mode in Valorant? Let us know what you think in the comments, and don’t forget to tune into the website for more news.
