Penny has a captivating backstory revealed through a series of heart events. To trigger these events, focus on increasing your Friendship with her. In addition, there are specific actions you should do to unlock them:

Two Hearts – Enter Pelican Town on a sunny day between 9 AM and 2 PM. Acknowledging that Penny did a kind thing boosts Friendship by 50 points.
Four Hearts – Enter the Trailer when she’s home and help her clean up
Six Hearts – Enter the Trailer when she’s home and try a recipe she invented. Lie and compliment the food to boost Friendship by 50 points.
Eight Hearts – Join Penny on a field trip with Jas and Vincent and be enthusiastic about being a guest speaker. Later when Penny asks about thoughts on having children, expressing a desire to have a big family boosts Friendship points by 10-20.

Marrying Penny In Stardew Valley
