Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC Possible Release Dates

There isn’t an official and specific release date set for the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC. However, we might be able to correctly predict the dates based on Nintendo’s announcement. After all, they are planning to release it in a two-part DLC for Fall and Winter. Yet, the company specified nothing else.

The overall title for both DLCs is The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero. Individually, their titles are The Teal Mask and The Indigo Disk. It also follows the game expansion of Pokemon Sword and Shield. These expansions were The Isle of Armor and The Crown of Tundra.

If you think about it, the Fall and Winter seasons help narrow down possible specific months for the DLC’s release. Undoubtedly, we can guess that the release dates might be around August to December 2023. Yet, it most likely looks like it will land in either October or November 2023. However, Nintendo also gave themselves a hard deadline by saying all content will release by April 30, 2024.

The DLC might be taking a bit longer to release because of the previous performance issues upon the game’s launch. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet had tons of bugs and glitches that hindered the player’s gameplay experience. The developers had to improve and fix tons of issues to improve the game’s core experience.

These issues also imply that they pushed back the release of the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC by a few months. After all, the fact that the DLCs will release a year after the game launched in 2022 indicated more work.

Even more, there was a Pokemon Home project for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. This also implies that the developers worked on something else, pushing the DLC farther back. Rest assured knowing that Game Freak and Nintendo are trying their best to get the expansion out.

It is also worth noting that they might space out the two incoming DLCs. After all, The Isle of Armor came out in June while The Crown of Tundra came out in October. This implies that the two DLCs were four months apart from each other. We can also possibly expect the ones for Scarlet and Violet to come out separately. The best guess we have is by late August and November.
