Meta is a word that gets tossed around in many video games. This includes Hoyoverse’s Genshin Impact. With Spiral Abyss (the game’s endgame content) constantly changing, team comps also vary in terms of how effective they will be at dealing damage. For now, here are the top 3 best Genshin Impact Team Comps that you may be familiar with.
One of the first meta teams, “National” gets its reputation for two reasons. The first is that one of its iterations is free-to-play friendly. The first time National was coined, it consisted of Bennet, Xiangling, Xingqui, and Chongyun or Sucrose.
The second reason why this team gets so much praise is that the first three units are some of the strongest 4 stars you will ever get. Bennett’s role is to not only heal the team but also to provide an atk buff to your DPS character. To say he gets the job done is an understatement. His kit is absolutely broken, giving everyone who stands in his elemental burst a huge atk buff.
Xingqui’s elemental skill and burst, on the other hand, provide constant hydro application making reaction damage. Xiangling’s elemental burst is also crazy strong as is. So when you add the other two, it becomes a force to be reckoned with.
Sucrose can be replaced with Kazuha and you will be getting an elemental mastery boost which is useful for reaction damage. You can also replace Xingqui with Childe, making him the designated damage combined with Xiangling’s burst.
This iteration is known as the “International Team.“
Another iteration is the Raiden National Team or “Rational Team”. Having Raiden on the team will solve energy issues. Keeping burst uptime at a constant.
Despite being released way back in March 2021, Hu Tao remains to be one of the strongest DPS characters. Her signature team is known as Walnut and it utilizes the vaporize reaction.
The team consists of herself, Xingqui, Zhongli, and Albedo. Xingqui’s burst in tandem with Hu Tao’s E skill provides vaporize damage.
You may notice that there isn’t a healer in this team comp. That is because Hu Tao doesn’t want one. Her damage increases the lower her health is. When you activate her skill, her health drops. So in order to keep the damage great without her dying, a shielder is in play.
Zhongli has the strongest shield in the game. As for Albedo, he provides off-field Geo damage when you use his elemental skill.
The other thing about Xingqui is that he does a bit of healing. Not enough to be a dedicated healer, but just enough to ensure Hu Tao doesn’t die.
You can replace Xingqui with Yelan and still get that sweet vaporize damage. You can also replace Albedo with here and use both hers and Xingqui’s burst.
The newest edition to the slew of meta teams is dendro-related team comps. Dendro has garnered wide usage with many players. This is just because the new region calls for Dendro characters, but the reactions that the element provides do wonders.
The two reactions are bloom and quicken. Bloom is the elemental reaction of Dendro and Hydro. As for quicken, it involves Dendro and electro. Bloom creates Dendro cores that deal Dendro damage when they explode. The damage scales off the character’s elemental mastery.
Catalyze, meanwhile, puts an enemy in a quickened state. When electro hits the quickened target, it deals bonus electro damage. When it is Dendro, it’s bonus Dendro damage. Bloom teams that excel well involve one or two Dendro units, one or two hydro units, and a flex spot.
Nahida is hands down the best Dendro support. A free-to-play alternative includes Collei or Dendro Traveller. Flex spots can be either Pyro, Electro, or Anemo units. These characters include Thoma, Shinobu, and Kazuha or Sucrose.
These are some of the best team comps in the game. Keep in mind that there are many more out there just as powerful. I haven’t even mentioned Morgana, Ayaka Freeze, Xiao Hypercarry, and others alike.
If you have any of the characters in this list, try them out. Get a taste of what high damage and utility can bring to your account. With all that being said, those are what we believe are the best Genshin Impact team comps right now.
