Typhlosion Appears in 7-Star Raid

Last Updated on April 12, 2023

Generation 2 fan-favorite starter, Typhlosion, finally makes an appearance in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have introduced past starters typically unobtainable in the Paldea region in the past few months.

The games have previously included Samurott, Cinderace, Decidueye, and several more Pokemon in 7-star Tera Raids. This time, Typhlosion has finally made its debut being the latest addition to the 7-Star Raid Starter Pokemon.

Typhlosion’s last appearance in the Pokemon franchise is in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. In that game, the Hisuian variant of Typhlosion sported the Fire/Ghost typing. His appearance in that game, however, led to some funny jokes due to his calm demeanor.

This time Typhlosion will have a Ghost Tera Type, keeping in line with his Hisuian variant. Just like with the other starter Pokemon, trainers can only catch one of the starter Pokemon per save file. The Pokemon 7-Star Tera Raid Typhlosion will also have the Mightiest Mark following the pattern of its predecessors.

Typhlosion 7-Star Raid Details

Typhlosion Ghost Tera Type spilled the details on Twitter about this event. Typhlosion will be available to battle and capture in two events, and each one will last for three days. The first session will take place from April 13-16 and begins at 5 PM PT / 8 PM ET. The second session takes place on April 20-23 at the same time.

Seven-star Tera Raids are some of the hardest endgame content in Scarlet and Violet. You’ll need a level 100 Pokemon to stand a chance against this Typhlosion and proper teamwork.

Typhlosion’s Ghost Tera Type will likely make using the popular Iron Hands extremely challenging. Although, an Annihilape that has Rage Fist and Screech should do the trick and make the raid easier.

While you can only catch Typhlosion once, repeating the Tera raid is still worth doing. You’ll earn some of the best items in the game from this encounter. 7-star Tera Raids usually hand out a generous amount of Exp Candy.

The rewards also hand out rare ingredients you can use for your sandwiches. Additionally, it also includes some valuable items that you can sell for a high profit at the Poke Mart. So make sure to attempt the raid as much as you can because it is a limited-time event.
