The Stardew Valley 1.6 update is officially on the way. The newest update will bear good news for those who love modding. It seems that ConcernedApe is not yet done touching up the smash-hit farming sim, Stardew Valley.
The Stardew Valley 1.6 update is officially on the way. The developer, ConcernedApe, reveals they’re taking a short break from Haunted Chocolatier to focus on the farming sim again. Stay tuned to the website for more news about the new Stardew Valley update. You can also follow us on social media to get the news faster than ever.
ConcernedApe tweeted:
There is going to be a Stardew 1.6 update. It mostly changes for modders (which will make it easier & more powerful to mod). But there is also new game content, albeit much less than 1.5. I’m taking a break from Haunted Chocolatier to work on this at the moment. Then back to HC.
The devs will also add more game content on the Stardew Valley 1.6 update. However, it is safe to assume that it is not anything major. Just like in the developer’s tweet, the update is mostly for modders so buckle up for some awesome mods.
Haunted Chocolatier vs. Stardew Valley 1.6
From the developer’s tweet, it is also worth noting that they will jump right back on Haunted Chocolatier once they roll out the update. However, there is still no news about the release date of Haunted Chocolatier.
ConcernedApe first teased Haunted Chocolatier back in 2021. The new chocolate-filled ghostly adventure with a gameplay trailer dropped back in October 2021. “I want to be able to work in peace without the pressure of a release date, or even an estimated release date,” as stated by ConcernedApe.
He further added, “The bottom line, is that I won’t rest, or release this game until I am personally satisfied that it’s very fun and compelling, in every aspect. If it never gets there, I’ll just never release it. But don’t worry, I have 100% faith that I’ll get it there.”
The new game is closer to an action RPG in comparison to Stardew Valley, and it will be a single-player experience. Haunted Chocolatier has more emphasis on its combat rather than its counterpart so that’s something to be excited about.
