Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Release Date Leaked

Last Updated on December 14, 2022

Insomniac’s Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 might get released sooner than we expected. Although scheduled to release in 2023, fans noticed a leak in the personal website of Jamie Mayer. She is a writer working on Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and wrote that the game will arrive in the Fall of 2023.

Naturally, fans assumed the game would get released in the latter half of 2023. The statement made by Mayer on her website confirmed our assumptions. Although she removed ‘Fall’ from her post, fans quickly grabbed screenshots.

It is worth noting that Insomniac’s Marvel’s Spider-Man and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Mile Morales got released in the same window in 2018 and 2020. The company has shown its preference to release games in Fall.

All You Need to Know About the New Spider-Man 2

Insomniac first announced the game in the 2021 PlayStation Showcase. The franchise quickly became popular, with fans worldwide demanding more. The sequel is now one of the most exciting games gamers look forward to playing.

Everyone needed a new web-slinging adventure, but it is worth noting that the game will not be available on the PlayStation 4. The developers say that they want to keep pushing the capabilities of the PlayStation 5. We’ll be seeing more new gameplay mechanics arriving on the new console.

You should also remember that the sequel continues from the story in the downloadable content — The City That Never Sleeps. Overall, it seems Sony Interactive Entertainment will have a successful 2023 when the game arrives.

The Story so Far

In the story, you will play Peter Parker with new fancy mechanical arms alongside your partner, Miles Morales. You work with each other doing hero work around town. The trailer did release the voice-acting of what fans assume to be Kraven the Hunter.

There is little to note about the new story, but the trailer confirmed the return of Peter Parker. It also confirmed the appearance of the classic Spider-Man anti-hero, Venom. The legendary voice actor, Tony Todd, will voice the villain.

So, we can even expect a brawl with Venom, Kraven, and you as his prey. The trailer also implied that Venom might be a playable character. We’ll let you know once we have the details. Can you imagine playing the iconic journalist?
