All We Know About the Chesnaught Tera Raid

Last Updated on May 10, 2023

We got great news for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet fans because the Chesnaught Tera Raid is coming soon. Just like in the past popular Tera Raids, Pokemon is steadily bringing back every Starter Pokemon from different generations. Now that you know about it, let us go over the details of this event.

Chesnaught Tera Raid Details

Just like any other 7 Star Tera Raid, the event will run in two different rounds. Round 1 of the Raid is on May 12, 2023, 00:00 UTC to May 14, 2023, 23:59 UTC. Round 2 will run on May 19, 2023, 00:00 UTC to May 21, 2023, 23:59 UTC.

Each run would only last three days so make sure to hop online once the event rolls out. You do not want to miss the only chance of getting a Chesnaught in Scarlet and Violet. If you are successful in the raid, you can catch a Rock Tera Type Chesnaught from 7-Star Raids.

Not only is Chesnaught unique, but its Tera Type is certainly different as well. Chesnaught is a Grass/Fighting Type and having a Rock Tera Type means more strategic options. Chesnaught caught during this event will have the Mightiest Mark and 6 perfect IVs.

Duly note that just like the other 7 Star Tera Raids, you can only catch Chesnaught once during the event. This means if you have already caught Chesnaught, you will not be eligible to catch it again. However, you can still participate in the raids after you catch Chesnaught for their wonderful rewards.

Chesnaught The Unrivaled

Chesnaught The Unrivaled will be a sturdy foe to face so you will need all the information you can get. It is currently unknown what Chesnaught’s exact moveset will be, but we can have an educated guess.

Chesnaught Tera Raid Pokemon

As a dual Grass/Fighting Pokemon, it may wield both Grass and Fighting-type moves like Body Press and Seed Bomb. It may also use its signature move Spiky Shield to protect itself from attacks. As a Rock Tera Type, it may use Stone Edge as its strongest Tera-boosted coverage move.

Like all 7-Star Starter Raids, Chesnaught may have its Hidden Ability, Bulletproof, during the raid. This ability gives Chesnaught immunity to all bomb and ball-type moves such as Aura Sphere, Focus Blast, and Bullet Seed.

Chesnaught Tera Raid Rewards

You can get useful rewards for completing the Chesnaught Tera Raid. Rewards will range from treasures you could sell to items you could use to train competitively-viable Pokemon.

It’s currently unknown what the exact raid rewards are, however, it may have similar rewards as past 7-Star Raids. The possible rewards would be: EXP Candies, Protein, Rock Tera Shard, TMs, Ability Patch, Rare Candy, Nugget, Adamant Mint, Bottle Cap, Ability Capsule, etc.
