Good news Pokemon trainers, it seems that All Starter Pokemon will make an appearance in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. They are rumored to appear in the upcoming DLCs The Teal Mask and The Indigo Disk.
The rumor suggests the DLC will bring back the starters to Paldea and other series games on the Nintendo Switch. Posted by reliable Pokémon leaker @CentroLeaks on Twitter, this rumor might be more believable than you think.
“Recap of current Pokémon DLC rumors:
- A decent number of Pokémon will get special forms when Terastalizing with a specific type.
- Masks could play a bigger role in the Teal Mask like hats currently do for Tera.
- All starter Pokémon from the previous gens are returning.”
As you can see, the tweet caused quite a stir in the community. This is exciting news indeed since the starter Pokemon from all generations will appear in the latest Pokemon game.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Starter DLC Leak
A leak back in February indicated that starting Pokemon would be part of the expanded Pokédex in the new DLC. The leak claimed to reveal the full Pokédex for The Teal Mask and The Indigo Disk.
The full Pokedex included every starter except Unova’s starters Snivy, Oshawott, and Tepig. It remains unclear if the new rumors include the Unova trio or if they remain absent from the game. In total, the rumor claimed 223 Pokémon will return in the DLC.
If this rumor is true, this is a massive undertaking, and it is exciting news for every fan out there. This will fully expand Scarlet and Violet’s roster of available Pokemon. It will answer the wishes of fans to include past Pokemon in the game.
As you remember, some Starter Pokemon already appeared in the game via 7-Star Tera Raids. These raids saw the likes of the Generation 1 Pokemon, Charizard, make an appearance as an addition to the game.
All in all, seven starters have already starred as the 7-Star Tera Raid bosses. After defeating them in the raid, you can catch them and add them to your team. These Pokemon are Typhlosion, Samurott, Decidueye, Pikachu, Greninja, Cinderace, and Charizard.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have relied on patches and its regular special Tera Raid Events to keep things interesting. Now that the rumor suggests that all starter Pokemon will make a comeback, it will certainly satisfy its player base.
