Worlds 2023: All Qualified League of Legends Teams

The League of Legends Worlds 2023 is one of the most anticipated tournaments in Esports. Although Riot scheduled it for October 2023, we dare say that it’s more awaited than the VCT Champions 2023. After all, the teams participating in the tournament have already established their might and resolve to win.

Worlds 2023 Qualified Teams

There are different regions to consider when talking about qualified teams. These regions are the LPL (China), LCK (South Korea), LCS (North America), and LEC (Europe). The LPL and LCK have four slots while the LCS and LEC have three slots. Each slot will guarantee a direct entry to the South Korean Stage for the tournament.

Other regions will make up the last eight slots for a total of 22 participating teams. Two slots will go to the PCS (Pacific) and VCS (Vietnam). However, the other four slots will go to LJL (Japan), LLA (Latin America), CBLOL (Brazil), and the Worlds 2023 Qualifying Series. Here’s a list for your convenience:

LPL

  • JD Gaming

  • LNG Esports
  • Weibo Gaming

JD Gaming is the first seed from the LPL in Worlds 2023. Although finishing in second place, JD Gaming did not lose a single series in the Playoffs.

LCK

  • Gen.G Esports

Since Gen.G Esports dominated the LCK Splits, they are the first to secure their spot for Worlds 2023. Yet, the fans are mostly waiting for T1 to catch up.

LEC

Teams in the LEC must qualify by gaining the most Championship Points in the Spring and Summer Splits. The top three teams will also immediately qualify for Worlds 2023. However, the fourth-placed team will go to the Worlds Qualifying Series.

LCS

  • Cloud9
  • NRG
  • TBD

As of this moment, only Cloud9 and NRG qualified for Worlds 2023 after a magnificent performance in the split. Much like the LEC, the fourth-placed team will also go to the Worlds Qualifying Series.
