Petting Naafiri in League of Legends is An Old Easter Egg

Did you know that you can pet Naafiri in League of Legends (LoL)? It’s quite amazing but also expected from Riot Games in the video game industry. After all, petting a dog in video games is an age-old easter egg that game developers created. It’s present in almost any game with a pet, like Assassin’s Creed Odyssey or Metal Gear Solid V.

How to Pet Naafiri in League of Legends?
Petting the newest character in LoL is pretty easy. Yet, it also makes us question why they added the feature in the first place. After all, LoL is a prestigious Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) with dark themes. A good example of this is to watch the series, Arcane, which is borderline morbid and terrifying (signs of a good animated series).
However, Naafiri in League of Legends has a background that makes this feature too hilarious and out-of-place in-game. The latest character is also a Darkin, an ancient race of corrupted God-Warriors traumatized by the Void War. That’s a piece of lore that we’ll get to in a later article because it’s too long.
Yet, Riot allows us to pet Naafiri? It might seem too cute for an Assassin-role character but it’s true. All you have to do is press CTRL+1 for the Joke emote twice. You can also press CTRL+2 after one Joke emote to initiate the second petting animation. Lastly, you can also press CTRL+3 to activate the third and final petting animation after the second Joke emote.
Once you chain these emotes together, you can have fun with Naafiri in League of Legends in no time. You will also be able to see the summoner hand pat her, scratch her neck, and give her a belly rub. It’s pretty interesting for a traditional easter egg, but we’re all for it. Do make sure to stay tuned to the website for more LoL news and features. Who knows? We might get to see an Aatrox back-scratch animation with his sword (we’ve got tons of ideas Riot. Contact us.).
