Hanwha Life Esports Wins First Stand Tournament, Secures MSI Playoff Spot
Hanwha Life Esports claimed victory at the 2025 First Stand Tournament (FST) in Seoul, continuing their strong run after winning the LCK Cup earlier this year.
The team defeated Karmine Corp 3-1 in the grand finals, with Kim “Zeka” Gun-woo earning the Finals MVP title.
The FST, Riot Games’ newest international LoL tournament, featured five teams from major regions.
Hanwha represented South Korea’s LCK, while Team Liquid, CTBC Flying Oyster, Karmine Corp, and Top Esports competed from their respective leagues.
Hanwha Life dominated the event, going 4-0 in the group stage before sweeping Top Esports 3-0 in the semifinals.
Their championship win secured a $300,000 prize and a direct playoff spot at MSI 2025, set to begin on June 27 in Vancouver, Canada. With the LCK regular season starting on April 2, Hanwha Life Esports will look to build on their momentum as one of the region’s strongest teams.
