If you are new to the lands of Hyrule, these tips can serve as your first Tears of the Kingdom walkthrough. While the vast lands of Hyrule are a challenging sight, once you get the hang of it you will have an easier time.

In this article, we will talk about The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kindom Tips and Tricks for Beginners.

Exploration is the Name of the Game

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom sports a massive open world with plenty for you to explore. From the great sky island to the numerous caves and wells, you will never run out of new locations. While reading this may sound exhausting, there are plenty of benefits in doing them.

Do not be afraid to explore every nook and cranny of Hyrule because it offers bountiful treasures. There are so many hidden treasures hiding who knows where. So make sure to leave no stone unturned every time you are exploring.

Not only are there countless treasures to find in the game, but there are also more things you will find helpful. Make sure to check your map for points of interest. These are great waypoints during your journeys. Moreover, do not forget to check out fast travel points to make your traveling easier and faster.

Don’t Be Afraid to Break Weapons

Weapons in Tears of the Kingdom are designed to break, so don’t get too attached to any one weapon. Just like any living thing, weapons have a lifespan thanks to the dreaded durability system. Being afraid to break your weapons will come back to haunt you in the long run.

Instead, focus on using the right weapon for the job. For example, use a sword to slash at enemies, a spear to poke at enemies from a distance, and a bow and arrow to shoot enemies from afar. Breaking your weapons does not matter because there are plenty of others you can find in the game.

Tears of The Kingdom’s Goddess Statues

During your early journeys in Hyrule, you might notice that your HP and Stamina are not sufficient. That is where Goddess Statues come in. These venerable locations offer you benefits greater than anything out there. It is here where you can cash in your rewards from Shrines to gain additional HP or Stamina.

For every four Light of Blessings you have, you can trade them for additional Hearts or Stamina Wheel. There are a total of 12 Goddess Statues in Tears of the Kingdom and you should not forget to utilize them. Having an additional Heart will go a long way in your daily battles.

Free Horses

If you did not know it yet, you can actually get free horses in Tears of the Kingdom. However, you have to have played Breath of the Wild before. In addition, your Breath of the Wild save should be in the same Nintendo Switch you’re playing Tears of the Kingdom.

If the game detects a Breath of the Wild in your Nintendo Switch, it will link your Horses to Tears of the Kingdom. Horses are essential in these games so this is a feature that you will want to utilize especially if you have the means to do so.

Master Your Abilities

You will have four abilities right from the start of Tears of the Kingdom namely Fuse, Ultrahand, Recall, and Ascend. Since these are new abilities, especially for beginners, you will need to practice them early on. Getting a feel for these abilities will help you greatly in your travels.

All of your abilities have a variety of uses for you to explore. Feel free to take your time in the tutorial before going on an adventure. Your abilities are essential and if you master them, you will have an easier time in Hyrule.
