Since it is an open-world game with three differing storylines, we can now discuss about the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet paths. The choice is completely up to you and you can do whatever you want. However, there are a few things to keep in mind when choosing your path order.

The gym leaders’ teams have a set level, and this doesn’t scale or change depending on what level you are or how many badges you’ve collected. So Katy’s team will always be between levels 14-15 regardless of if you take her on first or last. In addition to the gym leaders, the other paths have set levels as well.
Some of the gyms are more difficult than others. For example, the Levincia Gym is electric-type, and if you don’t have any strong Ground-type Pokemon, you may have a hard time. You’ll want to make sure you have a variety of types on your team so that you can cover all of the weaknesses. In addition, you should have enough coverage to handle any battle that can come your way.
Now that you have three storylines to choose from, the Pokemon journey is not as straightforward as before. In this article, I will walk you through this journey to figure out the best way to tackle Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Paths.
Am I Locked On To A Path Once I Start?
No, you are not locked onto a path once you start in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. You can explore the game world at your own pace and take on the gyms in any order you like. This is a departure from previous Pokemon games, which often required you to complete the gyms in a specific order.
The lack of a set path in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet gives players more freedom to explore the game world and find new Pokemon. Moreover, it also makes the game more challenging, as players will need to be strategic about their team composition and training in order to defeat the gym leaders.
Best Gym Order – Victory Road Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Paths

The most iconic storyline of the franchise, Victory Road, is one of the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Paths. If you’re looking for a more traditional Pokémon experience, you can still choose to complete the gyms in a specific order. However, if you’re looking for a more open-ended and challenging experience, you can explore the game world at your own pace and take on the gyms in any order you like.
With all of that in mind, here is a suggested path for taking on the gyms:
- Cortondo Gym (Bug)
- Artazon Gym (Grass)
- Levincia Gym (Electric)
- Cascarrafa Gym (Water)
- Medali Gym (Normal)
- Montenevera Gym (Ghost)
- Alfornada Gym (Psychic)
- Glaseado Gym (Ice)
This path is a good mix of difficulty and variety, and it will help you to build a strong team that can handle all of the challenges the game has to offer. Additionally, this order is the strategically correct way to tackle the Gym Leaders.
Of course, you can always choose to take the gyms on in a different order. If you’re feeling confident, you can try taking on the more difficult gyms first. Or, if you’re feeling more cautious, you can start with the easier gyms and work your way up.
If you want the easiest way to tackle Victory Road, this is the best one you can take. Additionally, the overall average of the Gym Leaders’ Pokemon levels is the basis for this order. By following this suggestion, you can have an easier time on your road to becoming a Champion.
Best Titan Order – Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Paths of Legends

The best order to tackle the Path of Legends, one of the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Paths, is:
- Klawf, the Stony Cliff Titan
- Bombirdier, the Open Sky Titan
- Orthworm, the Lurking Steel Titan
- Great Tusk/Iron Treads, the Quaking Earth Titan
- Dondozo and Tatsugiri, the False Dragon Titan
Klawf is the weakest Titan and can be found in the Obsidian Fieldlands. Bombirdier is the second weakest Titan and can be found in the Cobalt Coastlands. Orthworm is the third weakest Titan and can be found in the Crimson Mirelands.
Additionally, Great Tusk/Iron Treads is the fourth weakest Titan and you can find it in the Alabaster Icelands. Dondozo and Tatsugiri are the strongest Titans and you can find them in the Tyreous Highlands.
I recommend this order because it allows you to gradually increase the difficulty of the battles as you progress through the game. It also allows you to catch a variety of different Pokémon, which will give you a wider range of options when it comes to battling the Titans.
Here are some tips for defeating the Titans:
- Make sure your Pokemon are at a high enough level. The recommended levels for each Titan are:
- Klawf: Level 16-20
- Bombirdier: Level 19-24
- Orthworm: Level 28-33
- Great Tusk/Iron Treads: Level 44-50
- Dondozo and Tatsugiri: Level 55-60
- Use Pokemon that have a type advantage over the Titan Pokemon.
- Use items to heal your Pokemon and boost their stats.
Best Star Base Order – Starfall Street Path

The best order to take on the Team Star bases in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Paths is as follows:
- Giacomo’s Dark Crew – West Province (Area One)
- Mela’s Fire Crew – East Province (Area One)
- Atticus’ Poison Crew – Tagtree Thicket
- Ortega’s Fairy Crew – North Province (Area Three)
- Eri’s Fighting Crew – North Province (Area One)
This order is based on the levels of the Pokémon that each Squad Leader uses. Giacomo’s Dark Crew has the lowest level Pokemon, followed by Mela’s Fire Crew, Atticus’ Poison Crew, Ortega’s Fairy Crew, and Eri’s Fighting Crew.
This means that if you start with Giacomo’s Dark Crew, you will be at a lower level and will have an easier time defeating them. As you progress through the game, you will level up and become stronger, so you will be able to take on the more difficult Squad Leaders.
It is important to note that this is just a suggested order. You can take on the Team Star bases in any order you want. However, if you are looking for the easiest way to defeat them, this is the order that I recommend.
The most important thing is to have fun and explore the game world at your own pace. There’s no right or wrong way to play Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Moreover, enjoy the adventure with your friendly Pokemon and be the very best that no one ever was.
