How to Use Memory Bubbles in Honkai Star Rail

Honkai Star Rail is a turn-based RPG developed by HoYoverse. It is the same studio that created the phenomenal gacha games, Honkai Impact 3 and Genshin Impact. While it may not feel as open-world as Genshin Impact, Star Rail still provides players with puzzles to solve. This encourages them to explore the game’s world at their own pace and find as many secrets as they can. For instance, players may come across Memory Bubbles throughout the game. So, what is it? And if you’re having trouble activating them, we’re here to assist you.

What are Memory Bubbles?

Memory Bubbles are a set of collectibles that are spread out throughout Herta’s Space Station. These bubbles are easy to spot thanks to their distinctive blue color and liquid-like appearance. Each bubble contains a unique name and is hidden in various locations, making them a fun challenge to collect.

Before embarking on the quest to locate all 20 Memory Bubbles in Herta’s Space Station in Honkai Star Rail, there are certain steps you need to follow.

Pre-requisite Step

When you stumble upon Memory Bubbles while exploring Herta’s Space Station in Honkai Star Rail, you may notice that the game doesn’t let you collect them right away. This is because you need to complete a specific step first in order to unlock the ability to collect them. Take note that such is not linked to any particular quest line.

To begin collecting Memory Bubbles, try interacting with any of them and then go to the Storage Zone section. It is near the Gallery of Shadows waypoint. The next thing you need to do is find Herta (or rather, one of her puppets) and talk to it. This will spawn a room behind it where you can find the true Herta. Continue the necessary steps to unlock the ability to collect Memory Bubbles.

Talk to Herta about the “strange bubbles” you found by triggering the dialogue that begins with: “There are strange bubbles at the space station…” Before providing any further information about the bubbles, Herta requires you to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) to ensure the confidentiality of the information she is about to share.

Continue on with the conversation, then select the option “Can I touch the Bubble now?” so you can start collecting all of the Bubbles in different locations.

Following this conversation, you will be granted access to collect any Memory Bubbles you come across. Each bubble contains a unique memory that is displayed through a blank screen and textual dialogue. Once you complete each interaction with a memory bubble, you will receive a reward of 1000 credits.

Memory Bubbles are located all around the space station, and only the space station. Don’t expect to come across them on the planets directly involved with the game’s main storyline. It might come with a hidden achievement for getting all 20 Bubbles, so be sure to grab all Bubbles when you see a floating, blue luminescent ball.

That said, finding all 20 of them requires an entirely different article of its own. For more helpful articles like this and up-to-date gaming news, always visit our website and make sure to follow our socials.
