Valorant is a great FPS game, but it is not for everyone and some might wonder How to Uninstall Valorant. Valorant is known for its competitive flair in its ranked matches. Personally, it gets me going, but sometimes I want to uninstall the game myself.

Such as how to Uninstall Valorant on Riot Client, Uninstall Valorant using the Control Panel, and manually uninstall the game. 

Method 1: Uninstall Valorant on Riot Client

Riot Client is the main application that manages all Riot Games’ products, including Valorant. 

Follow the steps below to uninstall Valorant using Riot Client:

  • Step 1: Open the Riot Client application on your computer.
  • Step 2: Once the Riot Client application starts, click on the Valorant icon located on the left-hand side of the screen.
  • Step 3: Next, click on the gear icon located at the top-right corner of the screen to open the game settings.
  • Step 4: From the list of options that appear, click on “Uninstall.”
  • Step 5: The uninstallation process will now begin. Wait for the process to complete.
  • Step 6: Once the process is complete, Valorant is now uninstalled from your computer.

Method 2: Uninstall Valorant using the Control Panel

Alternatively, you can also uninstall Valorant using the Control Panel on your Windows computer. 

Follow the steps below:

  • Step 1: Open the Control Panel on your computer.
  • Step 2: From the list of options, click on “Programs and Features.”
  • Step 3: Locate the “Valorant” application from the list of installed programs.
  • Step 4: Right-click on the Valorant application and select “Uninstall.”
  • Step 5: Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the uninstallation process.
  • Step 6: Once the process is complete, Valorant is now uninstalled from your computer.

Method 3: Manually Delete the Valorant Game Files

If you’re unable to uninstall using either of the above methods, you can manually delete the game files from your computer. However, this method is not recommended unless you’re familiar with the file system and know exactly which files to delete. 

Here’s how to do it:

  • Step 1: Open the file explorer on your computer.
  • Step 2: Navigate to the directory where you stored the Valorant game files. The default installation directory is “C:\Riot Games\VALORANT.”
  • Step 3: Delete all the Valorant game files and folders from the directory.
  • Step 4: Empty the Recycle Bin to permanently delete the files.

Note: Be careful while deleting the files as deleting the wrong files may cause issues with other applications or the operating system itself.

Uninstalling Valorant on Riot Client is a straightforward process, and you can do it in just a few clicks. However, if you encounter any issues during the uninstallation process. You can try using the Control Panel or manually deleting the game files.

  • I was only able to uninstall Valorant after I uninstalled Vanguard. If Vanguard is running in the background then you cannot uninstall Valorant.
