How to Raise 7-Star Raid Ready Pokemon

Last Updated on March 31, 2023

The best Pokemon for a 7-Star Raid vary depending on the Unrivaled Pokemon featured on it. Each challenge is unique, thus the Pokemon you should field varies too. However, what does not change is how you should build up your Pokemon.

7-star raids are the hardest challenge you can face in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, so you should be well prepared for them. The Raid Pokémon all come at level 100, so they are very difficult to take down.

The same Pokémon that can bring down the Unrivaled Charizard, will be useless against other Unrivaled Pokemon. So each time, you will have to fight with a different Pokemon. Having multiple fighters is one thing, but each should be prepared for it.

That is why in this article, we will discuss some tips on how to beat 7-star Tera raids by preparing your Pokemon.

Proper Natures

Natures add 10% to a certain stat and take 10% away from another. This 10% can be the difference between holding on or being knocked out. Mints are also given as rewards in raids and can be fed to your Pokémon to change their nature.

You should know what stats your Pokemon needs, and what it doesn’t need. You can figure it out by searching it online. If you want to take matters into your own hands, you can figure it out by checking the move set of your Pokemon.

If your Pokemon has many strong physical attack moves, you should have a nature that increases its attack stat and lowers special attack. This also works vice versa for special attacker Pokemon, and for tanky Pokemon.

Proper Abilities

Every Pokemon’s abilities give different benefits. Most Pokémon have two normal abilities and one hidden ability. However, these abilities can make or break a Pokemon. So, you should know if you have the right abilities or not.

You can also earn Ability Capsules and Ability Patches during high-level raids. However, Ability Capsules are more common. You can use them to switch a Pokémon’s normal ability. Ability Patches are very rare and will give your Pokémon its hidden ability. These are only available in six- or seven-star raids, so be careful before you use one.

Max Out EVs and IVs

IVs and EVs boost your Pokemon’s stats. They are very important if you want to take on 7-star raids. You have to maximize these stats to get the most from your Pokémon. To have an easier time maxing them out, the game has an easy fix.

You can purchase Bottle Caps from Delibird Presents for ¥20,000 each. You’ll need six of them if you want to max out one Pokemon’s IVs. You can boost your Pokemon’s EVs using vitamins such as Protein, Carbos, Iron, Calcium, and Zinc. You can purchase these vitamins at Chansey Supply.

Held Items for 7-Star Raid Pokemon

Held items can make or break your raid battle. Some Pokemon require these held items to maximize their power. All of these can be purchased at Delibird Presents, but some of them are only available at a specific store.

Here are some of the more useful items that you might need and where to get them:

  • Shell Bell – Restores health when you deal damage – Levincia
  • Ability Shield – Prevents ability negation – Mesagoza
  • Clear Amulet – Prevents stat drops – Mesagoza
  • Lum Berry – Prevents Status Conditions Once – Anywhere
