We all thought Dead Island 2 is dead in the water after switching developers multiple times. But what do you know, its release is just around the corner now. With the anticipation of fans at an all-time high, Dambuster Studios finally revealed the sequel’s official PC requirements. Although everyone expected it to be quite demanding, seeing as how pretty it looks in the trailers, the official requirements still took everyone by storm. Particularly because they are shockingly high.
If like us, you are eager to bash some zombies in style, you better have powerful hardware with you. And by the looks of it, medium-tier PCs won’t cut it if you want to run Dead Island 2. Many see its minimum requirements as still surprisingly high!

While gamers would have no problem reaching the recommended storage capacity, RAM, and OS, the rest lies the problem. The game has some surprisingly high requirements, especially for the CPUs and GPUs. To play the title at its optimal level, you need the latest hardware the industry has to offer. Sadly, not everyone has that luxury.Â
Nevertheless, these surprisingly high requirements did not seem to deter its positive momentum heading to its release. The game also emerged into the limelight and gamers are now more than ready to experience it finally. Look for Dead Island 2 as it releases on April 21, 2023, on PC and all major platforms except Switch.
