Ground-Type Pokemon are some of the most powerful and versatile in the game. Ground types usually boast impressive strength and a wide variety of moves that you can use both offensively and defensively. 

Whether you’re looking for a tank to take hits or a speedy attacker to dish out damage, there’s a ground-type Pokemon out there that’s sure to fit the bill. Whether it be a Legendary Pokemon or Non-legendary ground-type pokemon, they surely deserve a spot in your lineup.

Here are some of the Best Ground-Type Pokemon in the game:

Garchomp

One of my favorite Pokemon of all time, Garchomp, is an incredibly powerful and versatile ground/dragon-type Pokemon. Gamers know dragon-types for its impressive speed and high attack power. 

With access to moves like Dragon Claw, Earthquake, and Stone Edge, Garchomp is capable of dealing massive damage to just about anything that crosses its path. If you are looking for a dominating sweeper, Garchomp will not disappoint. 

Excadrill

Drill your way to a win withExcadrill. Excadrill is a ground/steel-type Pokemon with high speed and attack power. With access to moves like Iron Head, Drill Run, and Earthquake, Excadrill can also hit hard and fast. It can also take out even the toughest opponents with ease.

Landorus

The ground-type on a cloud, Landorus, is a legendary ground/flying-type Pokemon that’s well-known for its impressive attack power and versatility. You can often see Landorus in high-stakes Pokemon tournaments due to its utility.

With access to moves like Earthquake, Stone Edge, and Fly, Landorus can dish out massive damage from both the ground and the air, making it a formidable opponent in any battle.

Hippowdon

If it is not obvious, Hippowdon is a big and bulky boy. Hippowdon is also a ground-type Pokemon with incredible defense and bulk. Undoubtedly, you can use Hippowdon as your main tank for the team.

With access to moves like Earthquake, Stone Edge, and Slack Off, Hippowdon can take a ton of hits while dishing out damage of its own, making it an excellent choice for a tanky team.

Mudsdale

Get ready to neigh with Mudsdale. Mudsdale is a ground-type Pokemon that’s known for its incredible strength and durability. While it is not the best damage dealer out there, Mudsdale still packs a punch.

With access to moves like Earthquake, Heavy Slam, and Close Combat, Mudsdale can dish out massive damage while taking hits like a champ. 

Krookodile

With access to moves like Earthquake, Crunch, and Outrage, Krookodile can dish out massive damage while dodging attacks with ease. Krookodile is certainly capable of being your team’s Physical Sweeper. 

Flygon

Players know Flygon, a ground/dragon-type Pokemon, for its impressive speed and versatility. Flygon is also known as a surprising dragon-type Pokemon because it looks more like a bug. 

With access to moves like Dragon Claw, Earthquake, and U-turn, Flygon can dish out massive damage while also being able to switch out and support its team when needed.

Golem

Nidoking can dish out massive damage while also being able to support its team with status moves like Toxic and Thunder Wave.
