Did you know that Regigigas is one of the strongest Legendary Pokemon since the popular Generation IV? However, the normal-type Titan doesn’t feel like one of the strongest because it’s like a developer trolling the Pokemon. The ability Slow Start makes the Legendary Pokemon feel like the worst critter to have on your team composition.

The Devs Trolled Regigigas
Pokemon Abilities often give you the deciding edge in most battles. After all, their passive traits make each critter feel unique and you have to adjust your strategy every time. There are Pokemon that will become the decisive factors in battles, and there will be others that will sabotage you.
So, you would think that a Legendary Pokemon like Regigigas would have an insane and powerful ability. As it turns out, that isn’t the case. Make no mistake, the powerful titan also has some insane stats that you should never underestimate. Gigas has a whopping 160 Base Atk. with almost equal Def. stats and is a force to acknowledge in a battle.
However, it feels as though the developers and designers at Game Freak and The Pokemon Company had other plans. Although it is understandable that they would try to balance the giant, it feels as if they want to bully the poor Pokemon. When Gigas came out, it had a flaw that would never allow it to reach its potential.
It is due to the Special Ability that Regigigas owns called Slow Start. It’s a double-edged sword that can either work in or against your favor. The Special Ability will halve the Legendary Pokemon’s Atk. and Speed for the first five turns, which you can abuse to the fullest. However, it will regain its full strength if you’re past five turns. So, catching it can become pretty difficult if you want this Pokemon on your team.
So, what do you think about this? Were the devs bullying the poor Pokemon? Let us know your thoughts in the comments and don’t forget to stay tuned to the website for more news.
