Persona 5 Tactica Leaked By Atlus Instagram

Persona 5 Tactica Leaked By Atlus Instagram

Was it a major blunder or an elaborate marketing ploy? Today, June 9th, 2023, Atlus’ official Instagram account seemingly mistakenly released trailers for its upcoming projects. By all means, it looks like the leaked trailers are set to appear at Xbox’s event later this week. But alas, here we are! Two Atlus projects are shown to the public earlier than what was apparently intended. Persona 3 Reloaded and Persona 5 Tactica.

The most notable is likely the Persona 3 remake, which has been the subject of rumors for some time, but Atlus had another bombshell up their sleeves. Apart from ‘accidentally’ releasing the trailer for Persona 3 remake, there is also a trailer for the game Persona 5 Tactica. Moreover, it is supposedly launching this November 17.

The existence of Persona 5 Tactica lines up with the previous revelation of various Persona insiders about Atlus registering a domain under “P5T.JP.” There were several assumptions on what P5T may mean, some thought it would be an Akechi-dedicated spinoff, but none thought of it as being a tactics game. Nevertheless, persona fans are excited just the same.

Persona 5 Tactica Trailer

Although the leaked trailer for the new Persona 5 spinoff, Persona 5 Tactica, was short, we definitely learned a lot from it. Like Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth, which itself is a spinoff Persona game, Persona 5 Tactica will use a more Chibi-style approach for its characters. Perhaps it is to be more approachable to younger gamers. Or maybe it’s because the art style would fit better to the tile-based tactics combat they are going for. Atlus is yet to comment on its decision process regarding it. Nevertheless, true to the Persona brand, Persona 5 Tactica is ultra-stylish without being confusing.

Persona 5 Tactica

It does appear in the trailer that players can use several types of varying attacks. In it, we saw attack options such as Gun, Arts, and Triple Threat. Mind you, Persona 5 Tactica, as its name implies, will be a tactics game. So, having several attack options is a given. Furthermore, it looks like the party size will remain at three, excluding the main character, just like in the previous Persona games.

Again, these are all mere speculations on our part based on what we saw in the leaked trailer. Aside from the things we detailed above, there is not much to go on with the short trailer. Nevertheless, it ended by stating that Persona 5 Tactica will be out on Xbox and PC platforms this coming November 17. Sadly to PlayStation gamers, it certainly looks like the Persona 5 spinoff will be exclusive to Xbox.

Yet Another Persona 5 Game

At this point, many gamers are already tired of the Persona 5 property. As much as we love its memorable cast of characters and unique aesthetic and approaches, there is now just too much Persona 5 content. It certainly does feel like Atlus really wants to milk every ounce it could get from the very successful game.

If it isn’t apparent yet, gamers are now eager for a new Persona game. Well, yes, technically, Persona 5 Tactica is a new game, but we want a new cast. Perhaps a new story and setting. To put it straight, the world is now ready for the next installment in the excellent series. We love the Phantom Thieves as much as the next guy. However, we honestly feel as if we’ve already spent way too much time with them. The time is nigh for them to retire.
