The Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake

Metal Gear Solid Delta is as a “faithful remake” of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, the highly-acclaimed fifth entrant to the overall Metal Gear series. The game is being developed by Virtuos, a studio that has worked on a number of other high-profile remakes, including the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2.

That said, it is worth noting that the original series creator, Hideo Kojima, will not be a part of the remake’s development in any capacity.

As far as we know right now, the upcoming game will feature new voice acting, as well as new cutscenes and gameplay sequences. Furthermore, the beloved music soundtrack from the original game will also purportedly have a remastered mix while some will be re-recorded entirely.

The game aims to take full advantage of the next-gen consoles’ capability to bring new life to the original Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, which many tout as the best entrant in the series. Not only will everything look more impressive considering the next-gen consoles’ graphical fidelity, everything will feel much smoother this time around. It aims to provide a seamless user experience by evolving the gameplay, story, and game design for the better.

All in all, Virtuos looks to bring a faithful recreation of the original game while also striving to rectify the issues that plagued it back then. Although that may sound like a tall task for any gaming studio, we are confident that Virtuous can pull it off considering their truly impressive track record.

Why You Should Be Excited

There are a lot of reasons why everyone should be excited for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. First, the original game is a classic that fans today still feverishly cherish and love. Second, it is Virtuos that will handle the remake’s development, a studio with a proven track record of creating high-quality remakes. Third, the remake will feature updated graphics, gameplay, and voice acting.
