Do you want to share your virtual reality experience with those around you? You can do that by casting your Meta Quest on different devices. Casting is an easy and effective way to share your games with friends and family or to record your VR experiences for streaming or content creation. Here’s how you can cast your Meta Quest (FKA Oculus casting):
Setting up:
You need to make sure that your Meta Quest is properly set up before you can cast it. Setting up your headset, pairing your controllers, and linking your Meta account are all part of this process. You must also ensure that your VR headset is linked to a Wi-Fi network.
One of the easiest ways to cast on any device is by going to: Oculus (oculus.com/casting/) and logging in to your account to start casting.
Another way is to:
Download the Meta Quest App:

To cast your Meta Quest to different devices, you must first install the Meta Quest app (FKA Oculus App) on your smartphone, T.V., or tablet. Don’t you worry, the app is free to download for both iOS and Android from App Store or Google Play.
Connect your device to the same Wi-Fi network as your Meta Quest:
Both your device and your VR headset must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network in order to cast it. Before casting, make sure your devices are linked to the same network.
Open the app and select your device:
Open the Meta Quest app after downloading it and connect to the same Wi-Fi network as your VR headset. Promptly choose your device from the list of available devices.
Select the Cast option:
Select the Cast button in the app, which looks like a TV with a Wi-Fi icon in the corner. This will display a list of available devices to which you can cast.
Choose the device you want to cast to:
Choose a device from the list to cast your VR headset on. This could be a smartphone, tablet, or streaming device such as a Google Chromecast or Apple TV.
Start casting:
After you’ve chosen the device to which you would like to cast, click the “Start Casting” button to begin casting. This will reflect your Meta Quest’s display on the device you’ve chosen. (Take note: Latency and delay depend on your connection)
To stop casting:
Simply pick the “Stop Casting” button in the app to stop casting. This will disconnect your device from your Meta Quest and end the display mirroring.

Casting your Meta Quest to various devices is a great way to share your virtual reality experience with others. You can quickly cast your VR experience to your smartphone, tablet, or streaming device and share your games or VR sessions with friends, family, or an audience by following these simple steps.
