According to Pokémon lore, Arceus emerged from a vortex of chaos and nothingness. It is the sole inhabitant of a world that had not yet existed With its immense power. Even more, Arceus set about creating the building blocks of the universe itself, shaping time, space, and even anti-matter.

However, not all beings were created equal. Arceus soon found itself in conflict with Giratina, a creature of great destructive power. Arceus sent Giratina to live in the Distortion World as punishment for its actions.

Undeterred, Arceus continued its work, creating Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf. They are three powerful guardians who would imbue all living creatures with knowledge, emotion, and willpower.

These three beings took up residence at the bottom of three lakes in the Sinnoh region. They also earned the moniker of “lake guardians”. As the universe took shape, other legendary Pokémon undoubtedly began to emerge. However, they appeared with their own unique roles to play in the world.

Kyogre, formed by the immense pressure of the deep sea trenches, created the oceans. Meanwhile, Groudon, born from the molten magma and earth of the planet’s core, created the land.

These two titans eventually clashed in a fierce battle for dominance. Undoubtedly, it was a conflict that ended only when Rayquaza, formed from the minerals of the ozone layer, intervened. Rayquaza forced the two to retreat to their respective caverns.

In time, the continents took shape. The legendary Regigigas, creator of the three titans Regirock, Regice, and Registeel, moved them into place. The titans formed the regions that would come to be known as the Pokémon world.

Even the Sinnoh region centered around the mighty Mt. Coronet, with the violent upheavals of the land giving rise to Heatran and Stark Mountain. Through it all, Arceus remained a constant presence, guiding the world’s creation and imbuing it with its essence.

Before falling into a deep slumber, Arceus created the Adamant, Lustrous, and Griseous Orbs, powerful artifacts that would shape the world’s fate for generations to come.
