If you are a fan of Ghostbusters, then you better try Demonologist. Demonologist is an early-access game that lets you take on the role of a Ghost Hunter.
What is the Demonologist? It is a co-op horror game that you can play with at least 1 and up to 4 players. Your goal is to identify the type of evil spirit in cursed places and exorcise it.
Since it is a co-op game, you can play it alone or with your team. Developed by Clock Wizard Games, Demonologist is a game for fans of ghouls, spooks, and the paranormal.
It is a first-person adventure horror game ripe with puzzles, mystery, and atmospheric tension. Demonologist brings together a collection of spirits of the like that no one has seen before
The story starts with dark actions and terrible consequences when Sarah investigates an old mansion. Why will someone investigate a creepy old mansion? Well, somebody hired her to do it. Somebody hired her to investigate because there is something sketchy going on.
Demonologist is Scarily Good
Developed with Unreal Engine 5, Demonologist looks scarily good as you play the role of a ghost hunter. Staying true to its essence, the horror game does not disappoint with amazing visuals and super dark lighting.
As a ghost hunter, the main objective of the game is, of course, to hunt the ghost and exorcise it. You will do so by gathering clues around the spooky place you’re doomed to investigate. You will use a limited amount of equipment, and you must capitalize on them if you want to succeed.
Besides the main objective, there will be optional objectives such as taking a clear photo of the ghost. For Phasmophobia players, you will easily get a hang of this game. It plays eerily similar to Phasmophobia but with more features.
To complete a mission, you must identify the type of ghost and exorcise it. To exorcise it, you must find five body parts of the ghost scattered all around the place. After finding all five of them, you must burn them in the basement and perform a ritual. Only then will you finish a level in Demonologist.
A cool feature that I liked about Demonologist is that the words you say will sometimes trigger an event. Besides talking to ghosts, be careful when you speak because some cursed places will react accordingly. If you get lucky, you might activate a secret door by doing so.
