CES 2023 unveiled all the latest tech unfolding right before our very eyes. There were plenty of new techs to sink your teeth into. While CES didn’t have game announcements, we did hear about different ways to play the games we already have.
Between a new accessibility solution from PlayStation, a somewhat unconventional game-to-movie adaptation, and yet another oddball gaming concept from Razer. CES 2023 gave us plenty to look forward to, even if pretty much all of it is quite a ways off.
The more prominent companies that are part of the CES 2023 Exhibitors List are Amazon, AMD, Canon, Facebook, Google, HP, IBM, Intel, Lenovo, LG, Nikon, Panasonic, Philips, Sony, Samsung, and Verizon.
NVIDIA
CES 2023 NVIDIA announced its most considerable generational leap in performance with its new GeForce RTX 40 Series. These are laptop graphics processing units that run on Windows 11 and include DirectX 12 Ultimate.
Gamers and creators will love the DLSS 3, which boosts performance and creates additional high-quality frames using AI. This builds upon NVIDIA RTX, a platform for ray tracing and AI technologies that more than 250 top games and applications use to combine realistic graphics with fast performance.
Sony
Perhaps the splashiest part of Sony’s CES press conference was the announcement of an accessibility-minded controller for PlayStation 5. This controller is for people with physical disabilities that might prevent them from playing games adequately with the PS5’s DualSense controller.
Many of its components are swappable and the buttons are reprogrammable to whatever you need them to do. You can even map two button presses at once to a single button. You can also prop up the controller on whatever surface you see fit depending on your physical needs.
Samsung
The Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 is touted as the world’s first gaming monitor. It has a dual ultra-high definition resolution, all complete with an OLED display panel and Samsung’s classic 1000R curvature. The monitor stretches 57 inches and offers a 7,680×2,160 resolution across a 32:9 aspect ratio panel.
All of that comes with a new DisplayPort 2.1 port. This port is for double the transfer speed and lossless compression to boot. Packing all that into a 240Hz refresh rate display puts the Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 firmly in our dream setup.
MSI MEG Trident X2
The MSI MEG Trident X2 gaming PC will certainly stand out on the shelf. This gaming PC is ultra powerful with Intel i9-13900K/KF and Intel i7-13700K/KF CPU options, Nvidia RTX 40-Series GPUs up to RTX 4090, and up to 128GB DDR5 RAM inside. Keeping all those components running smoothly is a Silent Storm Cooling 3 system.
Trident X2 also boasts an exclusive HMI 2.0 display. The 4.5-inch touchscreen allows users to monitor the system status and change performance settings straight from the desktop itself. The interface also allows for additional control over MSI gaming monitor features like Smart Crosshair, Optix Scope, and Night Vision.
