Capcom Asks Which Resident Evil Remake is Next

Capcom recently released a survey asking its players about which Resident Evil they should remake next. The survey also showed up on various social media platforms. Yet, there haven’t been any new announcements regarding the matter.

However, Capcom has had much success over the years with the remakes of Resident Evil 2-4. Fans warmly received the remakes with much gusto, which led to the question of which one is next. After all, there are tons of Resident Evil spinoffs in the franchise.

What Could Another Resident Evil Remake Mean for Capcom?

The Resident Evil 4 Remake was genuine and authentic. There were moments in the game that felt like the developers were railroading too much. It also included the removal of some quick-time events and other mechanics. However, the remake was still faithful.

Some fans might raise some concerns about the RE 3 remake but they love it regardless. After all, the developers changed some of the content inside the game of the remake.

I remember talking about whether or not video game remasters and remakes are just lazy game development. However, the Resident Evil franchise is one of Capcom’s greatest successes. We won’t expect any lazy game development from them as they remain loyal to the fanbase.

If they keep up the great work of pouring all of their time and resources into another remake, that’s fine. However, the idea of another Resident Evil remake might be getting old after the third one. Yet, we can still expect the next one to be another success.

Now, Capcom can enjoy some great revenue with the release of Street Fighter 6. The president of the company even announced that they want to sell over 10 million copies. It could also break the record by Street Fighter V, which was 7 million.

Overall, we’ll have to wait and see what the fans voted for in the survey. Which Resident Evil game or spinoff do you think the remake will be?
