G2 Esports Transfers Star Player m0NESY to Team Falcons
G2 Esports CEO Alban “Stilgar” Dechelotte has confirmed the transfer of star AWPer Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov to Team Falcons. The Russian prodigy will reunite with former teammate NiKo on Falcons’ roster ahead of the BLAST.tv Austin Major in June.
Though m0NESY’s contract was set to expire in December, G2 released him early to focus on rebuilding. Stilgar acknowledged the difficulty of the decision but emphasized the need for roster clarity. m0NESY thanked G2 for three memorable years, calling the team his “second family.”
The move sees m0NESY replace PGL Bucharest MVP degster on Falcons. Meanwhile, G2 is reportedly in talks to loan Monte’s hades as his replacement. This marks a significant shift for both teams as they prepare for upcoming tournaments.
