Xerxia Esports completely strongarmed the Philippine team RRQ, getting a 2 – 0 in the series in favor of Xerxia.
XERXIA ESPORTS DOMINATES GAME 1 IN HAVEN
Xerxia Esports won the first game of the series in the most convincing of fashion.
The first half was all in favor of Xerxia, winning round after round garnering a heavy 9 -3 lead over RRQ. Xerxia gave RRQ not even a slight foothold and ended the game at 13 – 4.
The MVP of the game went to Panyawat “Sushiboys” Subsiririroj with his impeccable Killjoy performance, accruing an excellent average combat score of 285. On the other hand, Nathaniel “Nexi” Cabero received MVP for the side of RRQ.
XERXIA DUKES IT OUT WITH RRQ IN BREEZE
In the second game things started to heat up as RRQ showed signs of life at the second half. Unfortunately, Xerxia was able to stabilize and cut the growing momentum from RRQ and take the series.
Xerxia Esports dominated the first half only dropping four rounds, including the pistol round similar to the first game, at the attackers side ending it at 8 – 4. For the second half, it was definitely scrappier with RRQ seemingly closing the gap and gained momentum with four consecutive rounds. Almost taking the game to overtime, however Xerxia managed to cut the momentum and ended the game at 13 -11 in favor of Xerxia Esports thus ending the series at 2 – 0.
The MVP of the game went to Thanachart “Surf” Rungapajaratkul with his impeccable Chamber performance, accruing an excellent average combat score of 284. On the other hand, Francis “Rabbet” Dunag received MVP for the side of RRQ.
Xerxia Esports will proceed through Group B and face Alter Ego while RRQ must battle it out against Global Esports to keep their spot in their tournament.
