VCT STAGE II CHALLENGERS APAC RECAP:  Paper Rex (PRX) vs BOOM Esports

Contrary to what the 2 – 0 scoreline suggests, the match between Paper Rex and Boom Esports is considered an epic match that showcased both teams’ unwillingness to back down.

PRX CRUSHES BOOM IN HAVEN

Paper Rex took the first victory of the series after taking over in the second half.

The early rounds were very much a tie but at the turn of the second half, Paper Rex broke the 6 – 6 score and took the reins on the defender side. Boom Esports managed to score only 2 rounds in the 2nd half before the game ended at 13 – 8 in favor of Paper Rex.

The MVP from Team Secret was awarded to Jason “f0rsaken” Susanto in his showing as Chamber with an average combat score of 290. While the title was given to Saibani “fl1pzdjer” Rahmad as Chamber in Boom Esports who had an average combat score of 327, the highest between the two teams.

PRX TAKES DOWN BOOM IN FRACTURE

The second game featured epic back and forths in both halves, though ultimately PRX took the victory for the entire series.

The first half was very much neck and neck between the two teams. As for the second half, it got even scrappier with Boom matching with every blow that PRX dealt. However, the game concluded with a 13 -11 score in favor of PRX thus ending the series at 2 – 0.

Similar to the first game, Jason “f0rsaken” Susanto received MVP of the game for his spectacular Neon performance that garnered a 274 average combat score. As for Boom, the title was given to Rizkie “BerserX” Kusuma for also his Neon showing.

Paper Rex will proceed through Group C and face ORDER  while Boom Esports must battle it out against Oasis Gaming to keep their spot in their tournament.
