VCT 2022 Game Changers Championship: Day 2 & 3 Recap

Three days have gone by since the start of the VCT 2022 Game Changers: Championship Berlin. A total of eight matches went underway in the first three days of the tournament. The matches between the best teams in the world have been spectacular, living up to expectations from all VALORANT fans out there. Without further ado, let’s jump right into day two and day three of the VCT 2022 Game Changers: Championship.

Day 2 Recap

Upper Bracket

FENNEL Female vs. Team Liquid Brazil

Fennel Female and Team Liquid Brazil faced off in the Upper Bracket Quarterfinals. Team Liquid took the early series lead winning game one convincingly 13-4. Both teams employed no duelists in game two in Icebox. However, FENNEL Female prevailed in game two by winning crucial rounds 13-8. The decider map for game three was Breeze. It was a close match, but Team Liquid Brazil was able to pull away late in the game. Team Liquid Brazil advanced to the Semifinals, with bstrdd taking home the MVP honors.

Shopify Rebellion GC vs. GuildX

The last match of the day was the Upper Bracket Quarterfinals between Shopify Rebellion GC and GuildX. Shopify Rebellion GC fired off the opening salvo and claimed their first victory in the series in game one 16-14. Similarly to game one, game two was down to the wire as GuildX took game two 13-11. Shopify Rebellion GC was convincing in the decider match and made quick work of GuildX 13-4. Shopify Rebellion GC advanced to the Semifinals, with Lorri taking home the MVP honors.

Day 3 Recap

Upper Bracket

Shopify Rebellion GC vs. Team Liquid Brazil

The first match of the day is the Upper Bracket Semifinals. Shopify Rebellion GC gained the upper hand in the series after winning game one 13-10. Game two went the distance cracking overtime but Team Liquid Brazil pulled ahead to even the series 14-12. Team Liquid Brazil completed the reverse sweep, winning the decider match 13-7. Team Liquid Brazil advanced to the Upper Bracket Finals, with bstrdd taking another MVP nod.

Lower Bracket

X10 Sapphire vs. KRU Fem

In the battle to stay alive, KRU Fem was able to mount an early lead winning game one 13-9. However, X10 Sapphire was determined to keep their chances alive. X10 Sapphire pulled off the reverse sweep, securing games two and three 13-6 & 13-7, respectively. X10 Sapphire stay alive and advanced to the Lower Bracket Quarterfinals, with Muffyn taking home the MVP honors.

GuildX vs. FENNEL Female

The last match of the day was between GuildX and FENNEL Female. GuildX was dominant all series long. GuildX swept away FENNEL Female after winning games one and two convincingly. GuildX survived and advanced to the Lower Bracket Quarterfinals, with roxi taking home the MVP honors.
