Skipping Day 4 (as no SEA teams were playing that day), Day 5 results included Team Secret knocking Crazy Raccoon off Group C as they swept their elimination match while FULL SENSE being taken out of VALORANT Champions 2021 as they lost 2-0 against Cloud 9.
Arguably SEA’s strongest representative to Champions, Team Secret defeated Crazy Raccoon 2-0 in the elimination match for Group C.
Game 1 on Split went to Team Secret as they defeated the Japanese representatives 13-5. The ‘Otso-otso” buff definitely helped the Pinoy reps as Riley “witz” Go, Jim “BORKUM” Timbreza, and Jayvee “DubsteP” Paguirigan all popped off on that game.
With his veteran esports experience, Jessie “JessieVash” Cristy Cuyco led the way as Team Secret managed to keep their momentum for Game 2, defeating Crazy Raccoon 13-2.
On the other hand, FULL SENSE lost against Cloud 9 on Split (13-7) and a close one on Breeze (15-13). Unfortunately for the Thai reps, this loss meant they are out of Group D and of VALORANT Champions 2021 itself.
The rest of Day 5 ended this way:
- Having to replay the match due to the use of an illegal Cypher cam spot on their Breeze game, Vivo Keyd lost to Acend as the latter won 13-10. This meant Acend won the series instead of Vivo Keyd with a scoreline of 2-1.
- The match between Furia and KRU Esports ended with the latter winning the series 2-1.
Team Secret’s last chance to get into the playoffs comes in the form of a decider match against Team Vikings, who lost to Gambit in the Winners’ Match in their group. They will play against each other on December 8.
Meanwhile, X10 Crit will now be facing Vivo Keyd on December 7 for the elimination match of Group A.
