The Third Vanguard of SEA VALORANT: FULL SENSE

The Third Vanguard of SEA VALORANT: FULL SENSE
  • PublishedOctober 29, 2021

With X10 and Team Secret leading SEA’s charge for VALORANT Champions 2021, the third and final vanguard of SEA VALORANT is no other than FULL SENSE.

FULL SENSE became a beacon of hope for SEA as they won the APAC LCQ in a thrilling best-of-5 grand finals series against Northeption. They beat the Japanese representatives 3-2 in the grand finals which secured them the last remaining spot for the APAC region for Champions.

With that said, we contacted FULL SENSE for a quick interview and here’s what the Thai representatives had to say. (Sidenote: FULL SENSE’s answers had been translated beforehand in order to accommodate non-Thai readers)

What were your expectations before going into APAC LCQ since this was the last slot to enter Champions?

As for the APAC LCQ tournament, we didn’t even expect much, just playing for fun. But in the match against Nuturn, we were able to win through, and that made us want to win this championship.

Do you think the online setting with the ping and packet loss issues caused some teams to not play at their A-Game? (Did these issues affect you as well?)

We had issues with connecting to discord and being able to communicate together.

Before APAC LCQ, out of all the regions participating, which one were you most excited to play against?

Nuturn Gaming, they were a big challenge.

Have you guys ever had scrim experience with any of the teams in the tournament? How does it feel playing against teams in a scrimmage and in one of the biggest tournaments?

We scrimmed with DAMWON Gaming. It helped us get prepared with how teams from other regions play.

Teams rarely run the KAY/0, what is it about the agent that the team has chosen to pick him on Ascent throughout the tournament?

We believed that KAY/0 was an important agent to use at this stage and at this level of the VCT.

You could say you guys were the heroes of the SEA region because you beat the teams that took out our other SEA representatives. How did it feel to beat Northeption in the Grand Finals after losing to them in the Upper Bracket Final?

We felt very proud of our team. We were excited to watch other SEA teams compete but wanted to be the best. We feel very proud about what we achieved. When we lost to Northeption, we just looked forward to the next game and only thought of that.

With X10 and FULL SENSE going to Champions, do you think Thailand is the strongest in SEA?

YES, we think so. It’s possible.

After this event where only APAC regions faced each other, where do you think SEA stands?

I think we can be #2 or #3 [in SEA] but we just have to perform well and show it at Champions.

How do you feel about what the team/organization has achieved in just the first year of Competitive VALORANT?

We feel that we have come a long way by saying that this team is like family and we have been together for a long time. We think that someday it must be ours and can win some competition. We did not expect that we could win this program.

Do you think you’ve got what it takes to be a representative in Champions? How confident are we?

When we won against Nuturn, we thought we could fight like this with full confidence in the future competition. And we won’t give up because we have nothing to lose.

FULL SENSE is a Thai esports organization. Their current VALORANT roster is composed of Chanitpak “ChAlalala” Suwanaprateep, Elamrahim “LAMMYSNAX” Khanpathan, Chanawin “JohnOlsen” Nakchain, Kititkawin “PTC” Rattanasukol, and Nattawat “SuperBusS” Yoosawat.

They will be accompanied by Vision Strikers, Crazy Racoon, X10, and Team Secret as the final list of APAC representatives for the VALORANT Champions 2021 which is set to happen again in Berlin from December 1, 2021 to December 12, 2021.
