Team Secret departs with their coach, Gilbert “Gibo” Sales Jr., as revealed from their announcement on their social media pages.
“We made history together. Thank you for sharing this incredible journey with us, Gibo. We wish you all the best further!,” Team Secret tweeted.
In Gibo’s Facebook post, he stated that he was grateful to be Team Secret’s VALORANT coach and would now be focusing more on himself this time.
“To [Team Secret’s VALORANT roster], it’s truly an honor and a privilege to be your coach. Thank you for trusting me since the start,” Gibo stated. “To the future of me, I would like to focus on myself for now. I’ll be back when I’m ready.” he continued.
Used to represent Bren, Gibo was responsible for coaching Team Secret’s roster that reached VALORANT Champions 2021. They put SEA VALORANT back on the map by reaching the playoffs, along with X10, where they eventually lost to the eventual champions, Acend.
