Persija Esports Goes Inactive, Players Announce Free Agency

The influx of roster changes this season continues as Indonesian-based Persija Esports goes inactive. With the team’s hiatus, this meant that all of Persija’s players in their current roster are effectively free agents.

The news of Persija’s hiatus broke out after two of their players, Kevin “Eeyore” Gunawan and Nanda “Asteriskk” Rizana, each announced their respective free agencies and thus made LFT (Looking For Team) posts.

The Persija roster was originally the BOY WITH LOVE roster that got picked up back in March of this year after an impressive performance at the VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) 2022 Indonesia Stage 1: Challengers.

With the roster, Persija finished in 5th–6th place during the VCT 2022 Indonesia Stage 2: Challengers. After that, they then loaned Fikri Zaki “Famouz” Hamdani to BOOM Esports for the VCT 2022 APAC Last Chance Qualifier – a move that helped BOOM enough to clinch the last spot for APAC in Champions 2022.

Before they went inactive, Perija’s roster was composed of the following:

  • Nanda “Asteriskk” Rizana
  • Fikri Zaki “Famouz” Hamdani
  • Kevin “Eeyore” Gunawan
  • Vicky “Flynch” Rudyanto
  • Baskoro Dwi “roseau” Putra
  • Kevin “xccurate” Susanto (Substitute)
  • Andrew “Bali” Joseph (Coach)
