Made in Thailand(MiTH) defeated BOOM Esports 2-1 to become the first Play-Ins team to qualify for the VCT 2022 APAC Stage 2 Group Stage.

BOOM Steals Icebox From MiTH

BOOM stole Icebox from MiTH 13-9.

The Indonesian representatives gambled (and won) on a no-duelist composition as they ran Chamber (Rizkie Adla “BerserX” Kusuma), Sova (Gary “blaZek1ng” Dastin), Killjoy (Saibani “fl1pzjder” Rahmad), Viper (David “tehbotoL” Monangin), and Sage (Muhammad Rafi “frostmind” Diandra).

MiTH started well as they capitalized on BOOM’s whiffed shots for four straight rounds.

However, BOOM’s TehbotoL’s 3K in Round 5 ended MiTH’s streak and marked BOOM’s successive rally to end the first half 8-4.

Given BOOM’s no-duelist composition, MiTH won three rounds as BOOM found it initially difficult. Unfortunately, MiTH ultimately lost to BOOM despite their valiant efforts.

MiTH Equalizes Series On Breeze

Eager to get back, MiTH dismantled BOOM on Breeze to equalize the series.

The Thailand representatives started each half with brilliance as they continued their unbroken streak of pistol round wins for this series.

For most of the first half, MiTH led the scoreboard with BOOM taking single rounds here and there. However, MiTH decided enough is enough and darted for the win, with MiTH only losing once in the second half via a wipeout in Round 16.

MiTH Ends BOOM In Haven On High Note

MiTH ended BOOM in Haven on a high note as they simply domineered their way on Game 3 13-5.

They started their conquest in Haven with 9 straight rounds before BOOM managed to get on the board on Round 10. However, momentum still remained with MiTH as the first half ended 10-2.

MiTH’s 5-round pistol-win streak ended in the second half of this game as BOOM quickly took over for the first three rounds. Fortunately, MiTH found their groove and ended the game as quickly as how the momentum shifted to their favor once again.

With this win, MiTH becomes the first team to qualify from the Play-Ins. Meanwhile, BOOM moves down to the Decider match for Group A and will face the victor between CERBERUS Esports and Enigma Gaming’s elimination match.
