Southeast Asian esports organization T1 has announced some roster changes in their Dota 2 lineup after a “disappointing” BTS Pro Series run.

Kim “Gabbi” Villafuerte has signed with the esports organization and will be playing as a stand-in for the Position 1 role for the upcoming Beyond The Summit Pro Series 10 for Southeast Asia. Former Position 1 player Nuengnara “23Savage” Teeramahanon has been moved to the team’s inactive roster and will be loaned to fellow SEA team Motivate.Trust Gaming (MG.Trust).

Gabbi was known to have played for PSG.Talon in the previous iteration of the BTS Pro Series together with former Evil Geniuses captain and support Tal “Fly” Aizik, before both players decided to part ways with the organization last January.

The news of Gabbi’s signing shatters all hope for an “Ana comeback”, a rumor that fans of the Dota 2 esports community have been circulating around the internet these past few days. It all started with a series of posts that T1 Position 3 player Carlo “Kuku” Palad seemingly teasing the arrival of a new player to the team, while holding a paper with only the letter “A” written on it.

  • Kenny “Xepher” Deo
  • Matthew “Whitemon” Filemon
  • Kim “Gabbi” Villafuerte (stand-in)
