The community has spoken, and the Dota 2 Diretide 2022 Collector’s Cache is available from November 22 until December 18, 2022. The Diretide 2022 Collector’s Cache contains the top 18 item sets voted on by the community. The items available in the treasure were created by the Dota 2 community artists who submitted their entries to feature their work for fans and players.
The Diretide Dota 2 Collector’s Cache item sets are untradeable and unmarketable. However, these item sets are giftable only once. You can purchase the treasure for only $2.49. There is also a neat feature wherein, if you open the treasure, you will get battle points to further the progress of your battle pass. You will not only get your desired item sets, but it also eases the grind for the battle pass levels.
Honorable Mention: Riki (Scarlet Subversion)
Riki’s Scarlet Subversion Item Set was good enough for the top five list if only there were fewer notable item sets available in the cache. Although anime-inspired concepts are getting a little too carried away, seeing Riki wearing an oni mask with bright red colors to compliment the overall set is just worth it to be an honorable mention.Â
Top 5 Item Sets You Can Get
5. Snapfire (Whippersnapper)
Snapfire’s Whippersnapper item set cracks into the top five, and it is a great opener to start off this list. In the item set, we see the trigger-happy grandma of Dota 2 with her trusty companion Mortimer changed into a cute and lovely gator. Although not much changed, Snapfire’s lack of item sets (and Mortimer being an adorable gator) helped the Whippersnapper item set to land in the top five.
4. Hoodwink (Shadowleaf Insurgent)
Hoodwink’s Shadowleaf Insurgent, similar to Riki’s item set, is another anime-inspired concept, but it is too good not to include it in the top five. In the item set, we see Dota 2’s furry hero Hoodwink redefined as a shinobi. With kunai on her legs and a ninja scroll on her waist, Hoodwink definitely looks like a ninja straight out of Naruto.
3. Chen (Hounds of Obsession)
The Holy Persuader, Chen, makes the top three of this list with his item set, Hounds of Obsession. We are definitely obsessed with this item set that redefined Chen’s holy personality into a god of death persona. The item set changed Chen’s mount into the mythical twin-headed dog Cerberus, coupled with an awesome outfit that fits the persona and a scythe as his weapon.
2. Primal Beast (Dark Behemoth)
Primal Beast’s Dark Behemoth Item Set is the runner-up for this list. Here we see our not-so-friendly dinosaur-looking hero who is so big that he does not even fit the screen redefined as a beast straight out of hell. The item set makes Primal Beast look even more menacing and terrifying. This item set will send quivers down your spine when you hear Primal Beast roar as he demolishes everything in his path.
1. Tiny (Astral Origins)
Tiny’s Astral Origins Item Set is the clear favorite for this year’s Collector’s Cache. Dota 2’s mountainous hero gets redefined as a celestial being in the item set. The colorway of this design is too clean and mesmerizing to look at as Tiny oozes space dust within the hero’s body. The item set includes varying designs for each level of Grow, making the item set even more worthwhile. Nothing says humongous more than a walking mountain imbued with celestial energy.
