The classic form of Alpha Esports Pro (AE) returned as they defeated Bren Esports 2-1 in the VCT 2022 Stage 2 Philippines.

Alpha Esports Pro managed to snag Game 1 at Icebox 13-9. Their proactive approach on instigating fights and duels paid off as their Vietnamese import Phan Văn “gin” Gin led the team with 22 kills on Reyna.

However, they lost Game 2 on Ascent as Bren outplayed them 13-2. AE was unable to handle Bren’s hot and cold combo of Zachary “BraiNfreeZe” Bajarias (Omen) and Yousef Imad “Hotsauz” El-Yousef (Killjoy).

With momentum stacked against them, AE overcame adversity and recovered late in Game 3 as they clawed their way to a comeback victory 13-11. AE staggered behind Bren in the first half but was able to find their composure come second half. Gin once again on Reyna led the team with an impressive 236 ACS and 18/19/10 KDA.

After their series, Alpha Esports Pro’s resident controller ChrisM revealed that they were able to come back on game 3 by confidently reminding themselves that they were the better team.

With this win, Alpha Esports Pro currently boasts a 2-1 record in the VCT 2022 Stage 2 Philippines group stage and ranks fourth behind Oasis Gaming (3rd), Bren Esports (2nd), and Team Secret (1st).
