CERBERUS Esports (CES) eliminated Enigma Gaming in the VCT APAC Stage 2 Play-Ins after they won their elimination series 2-1.
CERBERUS Falls In Haven
CERBERUS fell in Haven as they lost to Enigma 13-7.
The Vietnamese representatives had a horrible start. They only managed to snag three rounds in the first half as they had trouble breaking into Enigma’s post-plant fortress. They tried turning things around come the second half as they took the first four rounds. However, Cerberus lost the game as Enigma found a doorstop which immediately put a stop to their advances.
CERBERUS Takes Ascent To Equalize Series
CERBERUS then took Game 2 on Ascent to equalize the series.
CES turned into an aggressive animal to take the first pistol round with ease. From there, the first half turned into a back-and-forth fiasco which ended in a tie score of 6-6. The game remained close up until CES pulled away from Enigma in Round 19. Nguyễn Văn “Suka” Tiến had a fantastic performance as he recorded a whopping 336 ACS with a 14/5/2 KDA in the second half. In the end, CES ended the game 13-9 with Ngô Trường “Kishi” Huy’s clutch 4K at A site.
CERBERUS Eliminates Enigma At Split
CERBERUS turned the tables around as they eliminated Enigma at Split 13-11.
CES continued to have a bad start for the first half yet again.
However, two of their players, Nguyễn Anh Minh “Daicute” Thông and Nguyễn Trung “Lok1” Tín, showed moments of brilliance as they gave their team a little bit of hope. Daicute’s blind shots on Enigma’s Tejas “Rexy” Kotian within an Omen smoke delayed Enigma for a bit to give them a round. Meanwhile, Lok1 stepped up into the plate as he had multiple 3K rounds, one at mid in Round 10 and one at the garage in Round 12, which gave them a little bit of a breathing room.
CES then made the arduous comeback in the second half as they rallied their way to finish the game.
With this win, CERBERUS moves up the ladder to face BOOM Esports yet again in Group A’s Decider match.
