BOOM Esports swept CERBERUS Esports (CES) 2-0 in their rematch at the VCT APAC Stage 2 Play-Ins to proceed into the Group Stage.
BOOM Dominates At Split
BOOM unleashed the beast inside of them as they dominated in Split.
BOOM’s ‘hungry for more’ mentality led them to an 8-round win streak at the start of the game. During that time, Muhammad Rafi “frostmind” Diandra had zero deaths and only died on Round 9 which corresponded to the first round win of CES. BOOM never let go of their lead and ended the first half 10-2. From there, BOOM simply capitalized on their momentum as they ended it swiftly in three rounds in the second half 13-2.
BOOM Finishes CERBERUS At Breeze
BOOM finished CERBERUS off at Breeze 13-8.
The battle at Breeze looked to be a proper game in the series as both teams were at par at the start of the game. Saibani “fl1pzjder” Rahmad ended the first half with an ace to tie the series for BOOM. Meanwhile, Frostmind also had an ace of his own as he clutched in the fourteenth round. In the end, BOOM proved to be the better team as they once again dominated in the second half.
With this win, BOOM moves up to the Group Stage to continue their journey in the VCT APAC Stage 2.
