BOOM Esports finally rounds out their roster after letting go of their key players: Rolem “Skem” Ong, Timothy “Tims” Randrup, and Souljya “Jackky” Khoomphetsavong. This major roster change caused shockwaves across the South East Asia DOTA 2 community as the top dog of the SEA Region is going for a rebuild.
With three players down, BOOM Esports has a huge void to fill. They will need to fill out their roster as they are lacking players in positions one, four, and five. After the departure of their players, BOOM Esports announced on their official social media pages the players that will fill the place of those who left the team.

BOOM Esports announced the addition of Yap “xNova” Jian Wei as their new position 5 player. xNova rose to prominence in the last The International when he played on stage alone with four teddy bears due to RNG players contracting COVID-19. xNova is a veteran that has been to several The International tournaments, his experience is a welcome addition to any team.

BOOM Esports acquired the services of John “Natsumi” Vargas to replace Jackky as their position one hard carry. Natsumi formerly played for Polaris Esports, an all-Filipino DOTA 2 Division 1 team in South East Asia. Only time will tell if he will mesh well with the team.

Kenny “Xepher” Deo signs with BOOM Esports to complete their roster. Xepher will join BOOM Esports as their new position four player. Xepher’s former team is BOOM’s DPC rival, T1, in South East Asia.
