Bleed eSports won against Ghetto Artist 2-1 in the Group B opener at the VCT 2022 APAC Stage 2 Play-Ins.

Bleed Takes Game 1 on Split

Bleed took the first blood of the series as they won 13-7 on Split.

Ghetto Artist led the first half as the game went 7-5. Ghetto perfectly disassembled Bleed on the defender’s side. 8lua’s perfect anchoring at sites allowed his team to have a little bit of breathing room as it went to the second half.

However, Bleed turned things around during the next half. Derrick “Deryeon” Yee cast fear through GA’s hearts as his Judge play resulted in 9 kills across three different rounds. In the end, Bleed did not allow GA to get a single round during the second half as they sprinted in 8 rounds to win the game.

Ghetto Equalizes Series on Fracture

The second game went to Ghetto as they dominated on Fracture.

Bleed took the opening round at Fracture as Max “maxie” Lönström started the game with a clutch ace. From there, the game went back-and-forth up until Round 8 when Ghetto broke away and went for the lead.

Ghetto’s confidence was evident as they decided to pull a 5-man Operator in the last round of the first half — a move that unfortunately backfired as Bleed took the round to make it 8-4.

Ultimately, Ghetto shook off Bleed’s valiant efforts as they closed out the game with a clutch by 8lua on his Chamber.

Bleed Overcomes Ghetto on Haven

The third game on Haven started well for Bleed as they finished the first half on the lead 7-5. They then continued their momentum come the second half as the team proactively hunted and aggressed as the defenders.

Jacob “pyth” Mourujärvi recorded a 4K on Round 17 as he traded Lim You Xiang “lenne” Lionel and mowed down Ghetto on C Long which further increased their lead.

With that said, Bleed ended the game in Round 20 despite Ghetto’s efforts to prolong the game.

With this series win, Bleed nestles comfortably to the next round of the Play-Ins where they will be facing the winner between Rex Regum Qeon PH versus Team Big BAAM.

Meanwhile, Ghetto has to sit and wait at the elimination match where they in turn will face the loser between Rex Regum Qeon PH versus Team Big BAAM.
